UK trained Barrister and Attorney-at-Law Ardelle Sabido has been practicing law privately in Belmopan since 2021. Having served 17 years as a public officer with the Government of Belize in the field of Foreign Affairs, Ardelle has worked on some of Belize’s most sensitive matters in both negotiations and cases before the International Court of Justice (Guatemala’s Territorial, Insular and Maritime Claim (Guatemala/Belize), and the InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) Case12.053 Maya Indigenous Communities of Toledo District v Belize, P633-04 All Belizeans (particularly Mayan People and others), PM 155/13 - Caleb Orozco, Belize.
She has held several posts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belize since joining the Ministry in 2003 including serving as Minister Counsellor, Deputy Chief of Mission and Alternate Representative of Belize to the Organization of American States at the Embassy of Belize in Washington, D.C. from 2013 to 2017 and Minister Counsellor and Deputy Chief of Mission in Mexico City and Havana, Cuba.
During her career she has helped to implement projects across the country through the International Cooperation Units in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the Ministry of Education in a variety of areas including business, education, health and agriculture.
She now practices law privately in the City of Belmopan.
